STUDIO QUESTIONS

  • Bring your own mat if you so choose or borrow a studio mat from reception.

Cork blocks are supplied in studio as are straps and for Yin classes bolsters and blankets are available free of charge.

  • We have bathrooms and showers at our studios

  • Because there are limits on class sizes currently, we ask that you cancel 24 hours before the class to give waitlisted students or others time to get in.

We want to make sure everyone gets a chance to practice. That’s why it is so important that you turn up for your bookings, or let us know (preferably 24 hours) in advance of the class that you won’t be coming. No shows or late cancellations (less than 2 hours) will be charged a $15 cancellation fee.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of class. Anyone who hasn’t arrived 5 minutes before class may lose their place in class if there are students waiting. Thanks for your understanding!

  • Yes, regular fortnightly, 6 month and annual members can put their passes on hold for up to 2 months.

Please give us 1 week’s notice. Just get in touch with us and we can sort it out.

  • Our studios are slightly heated to around 25-28°C. In the warmer months we will often switch the heaters off completely when artificially heating the space is unnecessary.

Slightly heating the room means it’s comfortable in the cooler months and also aids a sweat to assist in detoxing via the skin, the body’s largest organ.

  • Yes, we welcome teenagers aged 12–17 to join our yoga classes. For younger children, participation is considered on a case-by-case basis. They need to have the permission of the studio manager or teacher beforehand and be ready to take leadership over themselves for the class.

  • We have limited parking available at each of our studios, please arrive early to ensure you get to your class on time. Check our each studio page for more information parking options here

  • Please ensure you arrive a 5-15 minutes before class to settle in to the studio. We endeavour to commence our classes right on time and late entry isn’t permitted.

Late entry into class disturbs both the teacher and your fellow students, and can put you at risk of injury.

If you are running no more than 5 minutes late, please call the studio. We appreciate your understanding in this regard.

NEW TO YOGA or pilates?

  • For your first class, come 10—15 minutes early so you can settle in to the space and ask any questions of your teacher.

Our classes start at their scheduled time and the doors will be closed to prevent disruption to the class.

  • We recommend wearing something light and fitted such as shorts or leggings, singlet tops or gym wear. Please avoid sweats, track pants, and heavy t-shirts as we heat the room for Foundations, Vinyasa Flow and Power Vinyasa classes.

Bring a change of clothing and a towel for a shower if you wish, or you can rent one at the studio.

For Reformer Pilates you need to wear grip socks which you can purchase from the front desk.

  • If you’re new to yoga or it’s been some time since you practiced regularly, we recommend starting with our Foundations class. These classes run at a slower and cooler pace focused on teaching foundations of yoga with lots of guidance and feedback.

This is great for people new to yoga and anyone looking to improve their practice - no less of a challenge and a great first base to jump into a regular practice from.

Yin classes are also suitable for beginners. However, if you’re fit and healthy and new to yoga you can jump into an open class and just do your best, keep an open mind and sense of adventure. View our Class Types

  • It’s always a case by case with our students and practising while pregnant. We want to empower you as mum-to-be and ask that you listen to the wisdom of your body and be guided by what will suit you best.

If you already have an established yoga practice, and your doctor has given you the green light to continue, and as long as you have no medical conditions that will be exacerbated by yoga, you are welcome to join any of our regular classes. We specifically recommend our Yin or Foundations classes. Please ensure to inform your teacher about your pregnancy so they can suggest appropriate modifications.

If at any point you feel discomfort, such as dizziness or faintness, please stop immediately and inform your teacher.

We’re excited to be part of your journey and are here to help in any way we can. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or if you need further assistance.

  • Absolutely. Yoga can be excellent therapy for many injuries and conditions, however we recommend you consult your health professional before commencing a yoga practice. Please let your teacher know that you have an injury and listen out for modifications and options in the class.

Finally we empower you to be guided by the wisdom of your body and if something doesn’t feel right - don’t do it.

  • Give yourself and your fellow students a rest from technology. This is a phone free zone. Enjoy the break. Come as free and untethered as possible. If you have a wearable please ensure it is on do-not disturb or aeroplane mode.
